THREE MUSICIANS – THIRTY INSTRUMENTS

New Odyssey has been performing across the United States for the past thirty years in front of various audiences. Donning the stage at corporate events, art centers, casinos and festivals, New Odyssey has definitely seen it all! Performing on average 100 events per year, the three musicians travel approximately 50,000 miles annually as they tour the country.

Peterson PM Production recently contracted and produced New Odyssey for Shaw Systems Associates, Inc. The setting was at one of Chicago’s most prestigious venues; The Drake Hotel in the beautiful Gold Coast Ballroom and New Odyssey performed on the final night of Shaw Systems annual user conference. The sixty minute show consisted of audience participation and several genres of music including classical, show tunes, pop tunes and country; which really showcased how talented and diverse these three musicians are.

Perhaps the hit of the show came when Gary Todd did his great renditions and impersonations of Louis Armstrong (above), Elvis, the Blues Brothers, and even Tina Turner! (below).

New Odyssey received a standing ovation from the audience and Shaw Systems provided a great night of fun and entertainment for their clients. Gary Todd, Michael Jay and Gary Polkow are three gifted musicians that personify showmanship!

WHEN VISITING CHICAGO...

Check out this month’s feature; Navy Pier. A land mark attraction, Navy Pier boasts 50 acres of parks, promenades, gardens, shops, restaurants and attractions.

Some great attractions at Navy Pier include the 150 foot tall Ferris wheel, the Bud Light Music Stage and sight seeing ships. The Ferris wheel is open year round and is great fun for all. Enjoy fantastic views of Chicago’s famous skyline while riding one full, seven minute rotation. Each of the forty gondolas seat up to six passengers and in the evening the wheel’s forty spokes are illuminated and can be seen for miles down Chicago’s lake front.

The Bud Light Music Stage at Navy Pier features great local entertainment. Unwind and enjoy tribute bands, Blues bands, rock bands and Chicago jazz groups that have made Chicago famous. Visually take in views of the skyline, Lake Michigan and the many cruise ships, pleasure boats and sailboats that skip across her waters. Many of these boats are available for individual and group outings including dinner cruises, architectural tours and sight seeing.
